
Glow with Gianna was born from a deeply personal journey but today, it has grown into a mission dedicated to helping others discover their strength, confidence, and worth beyond appearance.
During my freshman year of high school, I struggled with an unhealthy relationship with food after experiencing bullying, isolation, and the painful feeling of not belonging. As friendships shifted and I watched others seemingly live the “perfect” high school life on social media, I began to believe something must be wrong with me. I convinced myself that if I looked different, maybe I would finally fit in.
What started as an attempt to become “healthier” quickly turned into an unhealthy relationship with food. I restricted my eating to the point where my body began to show signs of distress — constant exhaustion, hair thinning, feeling cold all the time, and extreme mood swings. Thankfully, my mom noticed these changes and helped guide me toward recovery. With support, education, and a lot of courage, I began to rebuild my relationship with food and learn that nourishment, balance, and self-compassion are far more powerful than perfection.
Through recovery, I rediscovered something even more important: my purpose.
Today, I use my voice and experiences to help others feel seen, supported, and empowered through Glow with Gianna, an initiative centered around three core pillars:
• Building positive relationships with food
• Strengthening self-confidence and self-worth
• Prioritizing mental health
What began as a personal healing journey has grown into a platform that reaches young people and communities in meaningful ways.
Through Glow with Gianna, I actively work to create impact by:
Delivering care packages to treatment centers to remind individuals in recovery that they are not alone and that their healing journey is supported. Visiting classrooms and speaking with students about confidence, body image, mental health, and how they can uplift themselves and others. Hosting the “Glow Diaries” Podcast, where I share conversations about confidence, recovery, personal growth, and the importance of embracing who you truly are.
These initiatives are all rooted in one simple belief: everyone deserves to feel confident, valued, and strong in their own skin.
Glow with Gianna is more than a message, it’s a movement focused on helping people break free from the pressures of diet culture and unrealistic expectations. My goal is to empower others to nourish their bodies, prioritize their mental health, and build confidence that comes from within. Because true confidence isn’t about changing who you are it’s about learning to glow as you already are.
